Job Description:

About Us

We are BitterBrains, creators of the popular learning platforms Unlearn.devCertificates.dev and Vue School and organizers of large online developer events like Frontend Nation.

We created the official certifications for Vue.js and Nuxt, offer certifications for React and Angular, and run global events thousands of developers tune into every year.

For over a decade, we’ve been teaching modern web development, building communities, and creating learning experiences that genuinely help developers get better at their craft.

We care about helping developers grow, pushing the ecosystem forward, and having a genuinely good time doing it. We have trained teams from Microsoft, Siemens, Samsung, Adobe, and many many more.

We’re a fully remote team spread across the world, working async, traveling for events, building cool things, and trying to make an impact on people’s careers.

We’ve helped 2M+ developers learn and grow since 2016. Our mission is to continue spreading knowledge and making developers’ lives easier.

The Role

You will own growth and product marketing end-to-end, with a primary focus on Unlearn.dev. This includes driving acquisition, activation, and revenue, while shaping product positioning, launches, and pricing. You will execute across email, SEO, lifecycle marketing, and conversion optimization, continuously improving performance across the entire funnel.

Today, the majority of our revenue comes from B2C, and you will be responsible for scaling this further. At the same time, we are beginning to invest in B2B growth, and this role will play a key part in exploring, shaping, and building that motion from the ground up.

You will work directly with the leadership team and our CEO, and play a key role in shaping strategy and making high-impact decisions. This is not a support function. You will be THE marketer of the team, leading and executing 360. You will have the autonomy to test ideas, challenge assumptions, and introduce new approaches to unlock growth. We are looking for someone who is excited by ownership, moves quickly from insight to execution, and thrives in an environment where initiative and experimentation are expected.

This is a high ownership, builder role. You will run the marketing function with a high degree of independence, while collaborating closely with a small team for dev, design, and tech support. You will be responsible for turning strategy into execution and ensuring measurable outcomes at every stage.

You are highly tech-savvy and comfortable using AI as a force multiplier across your workflow, from research and ideation to execution and optimization. You know how to leverage the right tools to move faster, generate sharper insights, and continuously improve performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and scale growth engines (email, SEO, content)
  • Own the CRM with approx 500,000 contacts (customer.io)
  • Run go-to-market strategies and product launches
  • Optimize funnels, landing pages, and lifecycle journeys
  • Own analytics, attribution, and ARR reporting
  • Manage partners and affiliate channels
  • Bring your ideas to life, working async with devs/design (specs, briefs, execution)

AI-Native

You use AI to:

  • Research, write, and ship faster
  • Build automated marketing workflows
  • Run campaigns end-to-end with leverage

Requirements

  • 5+ years in growth/product marketing (SaaS/tech/ed-tech)
